Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Lucas Joseph greeted us this morning with lots of adorable kicks and jabs and a really clear shot to determine he is a Lucas, not an Audrey.
I was fully expecting a girl so I wasn't as anxious for that part, but more to see everything was normal. We have opted out of all of the testings prior to this one so if something horrible was wrong, there was no way we'd have seen it on a quick 8 week ultrasound last time.
We feel so incredibly lucky that Lucas checked out just perfectly! He weighs (about) 9 ounces and measured 1 day ahead of where we are. Beautiful heartbeat was 156, which is what I normally find it at as well (150's -160's). The heart, brain, everything she checked looked great and he was a very good baby!
Here are some pictures and you can clearly see HE is not a SHE! I think I had my husband convinced it was going to be a girl so we were both so incredibly shocked when she said, "nope, that's definitely a baby boy!" It was such a fun surprise and we're so incredibly happy!
Aww, congratulations!!! So happy for you. We just had our ultrasound last week and had the opposite surprise (expecting a boy and it turned out to be a girl). Isn't it just the most amazing moment to see all of that? I too was very nervous that something was wrong- such a relief to see and hear that everything is ok! :)
