A Birdie Told Me...

I went the the art festival near where we live today with my mom. I haven't even heard the temperature for today, but I don't need to, it was HOT and sunny. We didn't last longer than an hour, if that, but that's okay because there wasn't a ton to look at. No, there was a ton to look at, but most of it was pretty crappy. But I did find a photography that had the most beautiful and amazing photo of a bird's nest. I can't find her anywhere online, but I have her card with her phone number and am definitely going to call to order one. Just didn't have the extra $60 to spend today! It was so gorgeous though and perfect for the nursery. It was a white background with the bird's nest taking up most of it, in the most natural shades of browns and then a bit of blue. It's hard to describe, but it's SO COOL!


Then we found this artist... Sweet Gravy Studio. I can't find the piece I liked on her website, but it's a bunch of tiny little birds all sitting together in different colors. Super cute and I think I am going to order that for the nursery as well. I also discovered that she started selling her artwork to stay home w/ her premature son b/c she had some pregnancy complications, so it's even more meaningful.


My mom got Lucas this adorable little onesie from her neighbor who sells on Etsy.

After walking around the festival I am pooped. My goal this weekend is to finish "Pushed". I am so sick of getting distracted online so I'm trying to limit that time and do something actually productive (and I don't mean this blog, other online places keep distracting me). My husband has to work late tonight, until about 6:30, so all should be quiet around here for awhile. I am also making some spaghetti from a sauce packet I bought at the festival that was SOOOO good and, apparently, pretty famous.
