New Look!

What do you think? I thought the old layout was cute enough, but it wasn't really "me" and so I looked through some free layouts and found one similar to this that I loved...but didn't like the small column for text and the fact I couldn't change the size of the font (way too small). So I did some work on my own with scrapblog.com to make my "banner" on top and then used a simple blogger layout and customized the colors. I think this is a good fit for me. :) I was trying to really rest today and not overdo it since I've had a huge urge to "nest" lately, but I know, for once, staying on the sofa w/ my laptop was probably good for me! So new blog layout and some new blogs today.

I just made a chocolate molten lava type cake. There is nothing remotely healthy about it, except for the fact that it's 100% organic ingredients, but it sure is good! It was my second attempt. I got the recipe from a "co worker" who raved about it last week. I tried to make it Friday but used regular flour instead of "self rising flour". I asked my mom (a great baker!) beforehand if there was a difference and she said "no". That was very, very wrong and what should have been a fluffy, spongy chocolate cake surrounding warm pudding of sorts turned into a mess of chocolate mush.

I looked it up today and found that they are different and how to make self rising flour out of all purpose flour (add 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp salt to 1 c all purpose flour). MUUUCH better and I think Lucas just enjoyed his share :)

Lucas also is loving Organic Valley chocolate milk. I know it's not me since I think milk is personally disgusting and don't believe adults should drink milk. Lucas has other plans and I am trying to keep myself from drinking the entire gallon within a day or two of purchase. Eek!
