Updated Nursery Artwork

I had a small bit of work to do from home today, which is ending up mostly to be me waiting to hear back from a client, so I took the opportunity to do some of the projects I've been meaning to do for weeks now while I hung around the house.

You might remember, a few weeks back, I posted about doing canvas artwork with scrapbook paper. Well, I've had those sitting in the nursery for awhile now, but didn't really love the way they came out. As we have gotten further along, the blue color in the nursery has become less "baby blue" and more aqua. With the completion of the bird mobile and the fabrics I used for that, the old artwork just didn't look right and it wasn't the look I was going for. I planned to hang the three smaller squares in the natural colors vertically on the wall behind our chair, but the pattern just didn't "pop" for me anymore.

So I came up with this instead:

Here are the 3 new larger squares. These will be hung horizontally over the changing table/dresser shown here.


Then I decided to just recover the old squares in fabric to match the mobile! This was actually pretty easy and I got the fabric on there really tight to it actually lays well.
These will be hung on the wall (not the lamp wall) behind the chair (vertically). I think it will look cool to see that fabric there and then across the room in little bits on the mobile.
