Play with my horse!
After waking up this morning to Lucas kicking each side of my belly (right under each boob!) back and forth for about 1o minutes I got ready to go to the barn. I freaking love when I wake up to that and today he had the cutest rhythm going. I think he was celebrating 28 weeks.
Anyway, I went with my mom to the barn and a couple of our friends came as well and took some pictures. My camera pretty much never leaves our house; I really need to get better about that!
Here we are hosing Shadow off a bit. My horse is incredibly skinny right now because we've had some issues with another mare in her herd and she was not (after much debate) getting her food. She is not and I've added oil and will be adding another supplement as well so she should start getting fatter, but it does take time and right now she looks like crap.
A totally awful one of me, but I thought it was neat of her tail. And yeah, I know my capris with socks and shoes are really stylish. But when the choice is between "cute" and "keeping ticks away and staying somewhat cool in capris at 7 months pregnant", you would go with the second as well!
I love this one. Lucas already loves being at the barn with "his horse".
I am certain Shadow is thinking "oh mom, did you really need to take me inside from my friends and grass to brush me???"
My baby girl. She will be 18 in 5 days! I got her when she was 6 years old.
Getting up from rolling. Always makes me feel good to put my nice, clean horse back outside and watch her roll in dirt. I think that's preparing me for having a little boy, huh!?
These are her herd mates. Cute little group and they have fun out there!
"Oh, now that you've watched me roll, I will come show you how dirty I just got"
