Some of this will depend on my shower in 10 days, but here's what we still have to get and do:
- Order and prep prefold diapers (and dye them! :) )
- Finalize coming home outfit (done...I think! We received a beautiful Strasburg gown at our shower that would be good and if it's just too darn hot the cutest modern newborn onesie by Tea that will be perfect!)
- Buy changing table pad and cover(s) (done! We got an organic changing pad and 2 covers for it!)
- Make more cloth wipes
- Buy California Baby wash for both bath time and cloth wipe solution (forgot, I already have this!)
- Buy trash can for diaper storage (done!)
- Buy wet bags for my diaper bag and a liner bag for the trash can
- Call pediatrician and let her know we plan to use her and see what we need to do from there - done! All we need to do is tell the hospital and she will come see baby Luke within 24 hours. Easy enough!
- Finalize birth plan (my midwife told me to bring it to my next appointment) Pretty much done
- Practice Hypnobirthing - I have been working on the AAA-BBB-CCC.... exercise at night when I wake up to pee and can't fall back to sleep and it's working to instantly relax me!
- Work on exercises learned in Bradley class
- Buy one nursing bra (will get more after I know the best size) and lots of nursing tops/tanks and comfortable hospital clothes - bought 2 at Target yesterday, along with 1 nursing tank. Need to still get some more tanks/tops though.
- Get extra sheets for crib and co-sleeper, mattress pad for co sleeper (done!)
- Pack hospital bag for me, husband, and Lucas (buy gentle wipes for me, pads, recovery stuff that I want, etc)
- Get a few baskets for the tops of the dressers
- Get baby hangers (I really want wood, not plastic, baby hangers - anyone know where I can find these?)(done, I settled for plastic - wood hangers would have been hundreds of dollars for the amount that I needed. Crappy!)
- Find some organic cotton newborn hats for the hospital (he can wear his own stuff and we were told they dry them off and will put him on my chest with just a hat and blanket over us. I'd like him to wear our own hats)
- Get all the baby books from my mom's house that were mine and organize them in the nursery
- Buy burp cloths (done!)
- Hang wall art - done!
