Baby Legs and Kicky Pants... and Soap?!

I finally finished the 'Baby Legs' I have been knitting. They're fairly small, but so is the yarn and the needles so they took some time in addition to the fact that I only worked on them a bit at a time. They are a great project for leftover yarn!!! I used sportweight Blue Sky Alpaca yarn, which is some of my favorite stuff! I have practically a whole skein of it in red sitting around so I think I may make another pair with that. Here is the pattern I used for them: Legwarmies.

I really only like to knit for our own household now because up until recently (I think that is changing with some new friends I've met!) I haven't really known a lot of people who appreciate the time that goes into knitting and the quality of fibers I like to use. I do think these would make a really cute gift though!

I love thoughtful gifts. Even tiny ones. I'd much rather have a smaller gift that costs way less money if the gift gifter sees it and knows it would be just perfect for me and something that is truly appreciated. Take the soap I bought Friday at a get together I went to. Honestly, I spent $8.00 on this block of French soap that smells amazing and is great for getting out stains (cloth diaper stains esp) from Imse Vimse. Yes, a lot of money for soap (though not really in my mind for an eco friendly stain remover), but as a gift I would find it so incredibly thoughtful of someone to realize I would really appreciate something like that for so little money. I think one of my favorite shower gifts were 2 Thirsties diaper covers! haha

Wow, okay somewhat of a tangent there, it just seemed like a good example and something I've been thinking about lately!

I had to add this picture of this adorable "Kicky Pants" outfit. I LOVE kicky pants because they are a bamboo clothing company that has the sofest things you will ever feel! I recently learned that bamboo (for clothes) may not be all that eco friendly b/c of the chemicals used to make it into clothing and make it so soft, but according to Kicky Pants their company does not do any chemical processing so I am unsure if maybe that just depends on the company making the products. We have 2 tiny pairs of actual pants from Kicky Pants, but I would LOVE some of these outfits as well. My mom and I were shopping at a cool store in Green Hills (Popo) which has a bunch of eco friendly toys and clothes for babies and kids and I saw this there. They also had ones with feet. So cute!
