Saturday July 11, 2009 was my second baby shower. I didn't really expect to have any so having two has definitely been very sweet!
For some personal reasons and things going on right now regarding the shower I don't really want to go into too many details (which is really sad and puts a damper on the whole thing), but I wanted to share some of the pictures I received from the shower. I look absolutely horrible in 99% of the pictures (um, hello when the hell did I get so fat and who let me wear that dress? Being 5'1 does not do good things for a pregnant girl!) but I thought I'd be sad if I didn't document (since that's what this blog is really for!) some of them to look back on later.
Anyway, it was an absolutely beautiful shower and we even had my mom's good friend from Michigan (Laurie) fly in just for the shower. I've known her since I was 3 years old!
The pictures are all in random/backwards order b/c of the way Blogger uploads and my impatience to reorganize them.

Adorable petifore cakes. Some had little birds on them, too!

Opening up gifts. This was one of my favorites. From Laurie and two other long time family friends back home - a Longerberger basket (in all the right colors of course!) and hand made blank album. Look closely at the details of the paper. :) A beautiful cashmere baby blanket and outfit, out tree night light from Fawn & Forest, etc. Such a thoughtful gift!

My adorable mom holding up a beautiful Strasburg gown.

This was another (part of) my favorite gifts - super modern clothes by "Tea" from a cool store up in Nashville called Snap Kids.

Everyone loves an organic Gap onesie!

Lucas's first pair of jeans from The Gap. They are so soft!

My mom and me writing birthday cards to Lucas - everyone got a different birthday.

Pretty gifts

Favors my mom made (unfortunately you can't see them from this picture and I didn't take any. But they were chocolate covered birds nests w/ blue chocolate "eggs" in them.
Those party favours are adorable! I love how everything you do is so pretty and has a theme.
