We started off with my midwife appointment this morning. This is the first appointment ever that my husband has not been able to attend and it worked out that my mom could come so that was fun. I really wanted her to meet my midwife since she'll be helping us out with labor and delivery in the hospital.
My appointment itself went great. Short (literally not more than 15 min. ) and sweet.
Weight: up about 30 lbs. Eek! I've been gaining a lot faster now so from now on I am trying to eat more healthy. I am ashamed to admit that since I got pregnant and figured out I could "eat anything and not gain weight" for so many weeks my diet has really not been the best. I am such a stickler for healthy eating normally, but I almost feel like during pregnancy it's my only time in life to NOT worry about my weight as much. But in reality I know that, regardless of weight, proper nutrition is even MORE important during pregnancy, so I'm going to try to eat better. Less chocolate chip homemade pancakes and more nutritious foods. They didn't say anything to me about my weight though.
Blood Pressure: It was good. Nice and low at 108 over 50 something.
Heartbeat: Linda let my mom find the HB after she felt around for Lucas's position and we heard it loud and clear as soon as she put the Doppler down on my belly! It sounded great.
Fundal Height: 31 1/2 cm. Haha in the morning of 31 weeks and 3 days I'm not sure that could be more accurate if he tried! Good job baby Lucas! He must know his mom is a stickler for accuracy!
And here's the amazing part... I asked about my results from my blood tests (glucose and iron) from last time. My glucose number was 104 (their cut off is 140) and I was shocked it was so low! I know, well, assumed, I passed since I didn't get a call, but then I figured it would at least have been close. Nope! What a relief to know that we're in no danger in that respect. My iron levels were also incredibly high, which I was surprised about as well (I've not been great about eating meat which is a good source of iron). She was really pleased with my numbers for everything so it was like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders to know things were "normal" for me.
I go back in 4 weeks and will do my Group B Strep test (ugh, so not looking forward to that) then. Then I go weekly after that.
After the appointment we went to check out the sales at the mall and I got these cute things at Baby Gap. I freakin love that store! All of this for $35!
The rest is all organic, too!

We also went to Pea in the Pod Maternity and I got a maternity bra (I've been needing a new one for a long time and have been putting it off) and 3 adorable T shirts that were on sale. Their stuff is so cute, but sooo expensive! Even on sale sometimes! But considering my belly is getting bigger by the minute and Lucas could double in size, some new shirts were a must!

LOVE the little shorts! Too cute!
