Yesterday was my shower here in Nashville and it was so beautiful and nice! 99% of what we received was clothes (which is always good in my book, I have LOVE baby clothes) and I think just thinking about what we still needing in necessities (not a ton, but enough) was a little more "real" now. Anyway, we got some really cute things, two of which I was thinking of using as a coming home outfit.
The first is a Strasburg gown (the blue one in the picture) which is really adorable and special. I'm just not sure if it won't be too big on him and too much (even though it's really light weight) for the heat. Either way, I want to do something special with it and save it in a cool way.
Then there is this adorable romper. Totally another direction and a bit more of our usual style. It's 0-3 months, but pretty tiny and just so cute!!!
However, I was at the mall today returning a few things and went into Janie & Jack for the first time. They had some really cute things and I found this Kimono style onesie and matching hat on sale. It's so simple and adorable, so I think he might actually come home in this now.
I will post more about the shower another time when I get some of the pictures from it from my friend! :)
I have a slight obsession to janie and jack. My poor nephew and neice have beared the brunt of it. Just so many cute outfits.
ReplyDeleteI love Janie & Jack, the closest one is an hour or so away but well worth the trek. Just a little advice....the gowns (although I really love them & have several for LO) are awesome for night, diaper changing etc but not ideal as a comign home outfit. You need to be able to put the carseat strap between the legs which will require you to pull the gown up around his waist, which loses the affect! I say go with the onesie & hat, I love that set!

ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same thing about the gown. It is beautiful though! I would do the Janie and Jack outfit. They had a sale recently and Olivia got a TON of stuff for really good prices. That is the best time to go!

I actually just ordered a bunch of stuff today and stopped by Target (broke down and bought plastic hangers...) so just a few things left that are absolutely necessary! A changing pad and then some more cloth diaper supplies!
Ooh...glad I read about the gown, we were thinking about using one but hadn't thought of the carseat issue. Very cute clothes- keep sharing!
