Anyway, my husband is obviously at work today and I am doing some work from home (love those days!) so we're going to celebrate more on Friday. We are both off work and we're going to out to dinner at my absolute favorite sushi restaurant. I'm so excited! We haven't been since I just started to show and the owner was the only one who was right about thinking the baby was a boy, so we're excited to see her again and tell her she was right! For those of you thinking we're nuts for thinking she would care, we are good customers and have been since we moved to Nashville 3 1/2 years ago. I knew our consumption was a bit too high when they started giving us gift certificates for Christmas as their VIP Customers. Somewhat embarrassing, mostly cool. :)
I thought I'd post some (okay, a lot...) wedding pictures in honor of today. I love looking back at them!
This is one of my favorites.

We had our ceremony and reception at the Hilton in downtown Nashville. They have two terraces that overlook the city and we had the ceremony on one and the reception (this picture) on the other. It came out really cool!
Ceremony. My florist made my a chuppa that was even better than I imagined in my head. I loved it!
We did some fun pictures during the cocktail hour. This was walking in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame which is across from the Hilton.
During our first dance.
Another reception view later in the night. I loved that it was so different than anything any of our guests (99% of them from out of town, which is why we wanted it over looking downtown Nashville) had ever been to.
Walking into the reception for the first time. It looked great!
Immediately after the ceremony we came back inside to one of the rooms right near the terrace to relax w/ immediate family while everyone moved to the cocktail hour in another part of the hotel. I held it together through the ceremony, but burst into tears as soon as we got back in there. At this point it was just us and our photographer.
I ditched my veil at the last minute (okay, last minute for me is a few months before) for the flower. I loved my hair and the flower, but sometimes wish I had worn the veil.
Meeting each other alone before the ceremony.
Hope you enjoyed!PS All images copyrighted to Betsy Butler Photography and used by permission. ;)

ReplyDeleteLooks like a LOVELY Nashville wedding!
ReplyDeletePS. Have you heard of this diaper service for Nashville area (including Williamson Co)?
Thanks everyone!
ReplyDeleteErin - I have NOT heard of that - how neat! I have no problem washing them here (saves even more $$$), but that is soooo great to know about to have in the area and suggest to others as well if they prefer a service. It looks really nice! Thanks for the info. :)
