Are you KIDDING Me?!

I have looked at a ton of baby bedding. I thought I'd seen it all. I've looked everywhere imaginable (or so I thought) online and between my searches and people posting bedding on the bump, I really thought I'd see a ton. I would say I liked maybe 2% of the big ornate bedding sets. I don't even think they are practical even and simple is better for me so many really didn't appeal to me.

Then I came across these. Apparently by some "Maddie Boo" she-devil I am thinking. These could even bump out my love for expensive Serena & Lily bedding (probably the only other "sets" I have really liked). Because not only do I love both of them a very unhealthy amount, but I love bedding sets that are $500-600! Are you kidding me?! There is NO WAY I would pay that for crib bedding (set or no set) and I don't even plan to use a bumper anyway and that's where a lot of the cost factor (okay, and CUTE factor) come in. So really, a total waste. But OMG DROOL!!

Does this not just look incredibly soft and yummy!?! I think one of the big things I am liking about these sets is the simple, modern, soft look to them and the ties. Love the ties and maybe I am secretly mourning the loss of that look because even if I was to go with any bedding, I don't think I can bring myself to use a regular bumper. So no cute bumper w/ ties regardless.

And here is the second one (I actually found this first). It would be so PERFECT in the nursery - our walls look that same exact color shown on these walls even! It, too, looks incredibly soft and yummy - I am pretty sure the bumper and part of the skirt are linen. Swoon.

But alas, here is my cheapo bedding I've picked. It's from Baby Gap Home and I DO like that it's organic. I guess. *Pouts* ;)

Now, honestly, do you think I can pull off a similar "look" as the above choices with this stuff? I think the choices above are kinda what I was always going for, without ever seeing anything like it, and what I was thinking w/ the Gap stuff. Only ours will just be solid sheets (chocolate brown and ecru) and the crib skirt which is ecru or white (not sure), chocolate, w/ a tiny bit of blue (I am pretty sure the one shown is pink on their site). Any other great ideas to pull off a similar look using the cheapo stuff below?

  1. I think that the Gap bedding will look wonderful & you will love it once you see it all put together!! You could slowly buy the expensive bedding though couldn't you??
