I guess this comes from my two personalities mixed into one person. Part of me, admittedly, is a total snob in that I like nice things. I'd rather have a $300 purse than 10 cheaper ones. I'd rather have less of something really nice than more of just ok quality things, you know? And I am just attracted to the more expensive things usually (my husband thinks this is quite the gift...one he'd like to return though).
The other part of me really doesn't care so much about labels and I try to be green in not spending a ton of money on wasteful things, etc.
This is where it all comes together... I want nice stuff. I want our baby to have nice stuff, but I'm not willing to pay a fortune for 99% of it. So I love when I find a bargain on something really nice that WAS super expensive.
I was at Pottery Barn Kids this morning picking up the bedding I found this morning and found this adorable little onesie for less than $7! So cute for winter :)
But this morning someone posted this on a nursery decor board and so I checked it out online. It's on sale online, but was even cheaper at the store! And it's so soft and nice - great quality!
I bought the bumper (even though I didn't plan to use one, we'll have it just in case) which was $30, the crib skirt was only $20 and the coverlet/blanket was only $25! You just can't beat that! I will either add just plain white sheets or find (or have them made) some with "Kate Spade" green or navy in them.
Here's a picture of it all in a crib (I love the crib skirt), but in a different color.

I absolutely love the nursery furniture :) best of luck
