An Update From Earlier...

Apparently I am just really dumb. I blame it on the pregnancy brain, but then again, I swear I doubled checked this!

I guess the probe piece of the doppler that attaches to the hand held part wasn't plugged in all the way. It's kind of similar to an phone charger or camera cable in how it connects and I figured since I was hearing SOMETHING, it was connected fine...and even checked it b/c it fell out once and I put it back in.

My husband came home from work and was determined to make it work. I just laughed b/c I figured, if it's broken, it's broken and you're not going to fix it.

Well....he did fix it.

It took some searching (and was MUCH lower than I remember my doctor finding it I think), but we think we found it. We finally got a reading of 159 and heard that "whoosh whoosh" sound. I was still concerned though b/c in doing research online when I couldn't get it to work I read that that "whoosh" sound is actually the noise the placenta makes or something and the heart beat sounds like horses hooves. But we heard the whoosh sound where it picked up 159 which would be pretty high to be anything but the baby's heart beat and I am 99% sure when we heard it at the doctor's office 2 weeks ago it was the same sound...

So I'm not sure. I feel better, but not 100% better. Matt is convinced we found it and is all good.
