I got my Old Navy order today and can I just say how completely shocked I was to find the jeans fit so perfectly well and actually looked super cute!!! I am really excited to be able to feel cute in $25 jeans instead of thinking about wanting $200 designer maternity jeans. Normally I am not a huge Old Navy fan b/c the things I think are cute don't fit me well at all and then other things seem really cheap, but I had read good things about their maternity line and I guess have a pregnant body that fits their clothes! The jeans are just long enough to be able to wear with higher shoes, but I can also wear them with flats thanks to the fact that they flare out a bit so they don't hit my shoes funny if they're not hills (the joys of being short!) It's hard for me to find jeans that are "boot cut" that hit right usually so these are great. I'm also pretty impressed that they don't seem cheap at all and they aren't too big as in I keep having to pull the crotch up like some jeans. I will totally be ordering more as I go along.
The tanks are also great. Not huge, but fit snugly (which I like in a tank) and are plenty long enough for a growing belly. And the orange shirt - Wow I am so glad I ordered it!!! It's super cut in person and fits great! Yay for Old Navy's cheap maternity clothes!
These week's been fairly quiet. I am finding that I got from having a ton of energy to being extremely tired. Today I had to call my doctor's office because I started having some really sharp pains just above my pelvic bone this morning and last for a few hours and then wore off, but I still have pain (just not as sharp). They didn't seem concerned at all except for something bladder related (and all is fine w/ that) so I am trying to not worry much. I talked to some girls and read in my books and I think it's Round Ligament Pain already because it feels just like how it's described. I wouldn't be surprised since I have a very short waist if I am feeling things bright and early. It's painful, but as long as my baby is fine, I really don't give a crap how I feel.
I can't believe I will be finished with my 12th week Sunday. On one hand it's gone by slow and on the other so incredibly fast. My pregnancy is almost a third over! Now that I am almost safely out of the 1st trimester I am willing to let it slow down. :) Don't get me wrong, I want our healthy baby here, but I also want to enjoy every minute of this time.
Tomorrow I go for my "last" acupuncture appointment. I say that because Steve said one more and he'll set me free, but I think I will continue to go once a month or once every other month since it can still be really helpful during pregnancy (and esp if I start getting more headaches!) And I plan to go a lot near the end since I read it can really help w/ labor and delivery. But it will be strange to not go once a week since I've been doing that for Halloween. My checking account with appreciate it though. :)
Oh, this is fun! I contacted this seller on Etsy about custom making baby bedding for us. I told her I was looking for something that is possibly patterned, but it must be all natural/creamy/brown colors. This is what she's come up w/ so far. I LOVE some of these fabrics and they'll be perfect! If baby is a boy we'd have to change some up, but so far I'm loving this. I am having a hard time deciding on having her do a bumper or not. On one hand, once the baby starts to move at all I won't use it, but I'm not sure if it's irresponsible to use it at all. But then again, for purely cosmetic reasons I think it will be so much cuter with one, esp because baby will sleep in our room at first anyways.... But I am definitely doing sheets, a crib skirt, and possibly a quilt (for baby to use MUCH later) and just to be cute.
