Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Seriously...

OK, here's the thing... I posted on a baby board in a thread about whether people thought they were having a boy or girl. I said girl based on our timing of having sex 9 days before I ovulated. I realize this is unheard of and "impossible", but it's true. I can't change that and it's pretty annoying to read people tell me I am totally wrong, etc.

First of all, I know my body and I've been charting for a year. My "charting" has #1 never been wrong before and even IF I wasn't charting, the day I ovulated was confirmed with multiple ultrasounds. And every ultrasound I've had since I found out I was pregnant has measured/been dated to the EXACT date when I know I ovulated. I would LOVE for these women to try to tell this to my Dr. and acupuncturist who monitored me and know all of this.

In addition to knowing through tests and temperatures when I ovulated I am pretty damn certain I know when we had sex. You can even see it below and see that my cervical mucus matches my O date exactly.

Hence the reason I thought there was not a chance in hell I was pregnant and was completely shocked when I took a test (because I KNEW I ovulated but wasn't getting a period so I thought something was seriously wrong) and it was pretty damn positive.

So really, before you tell someone who went through a year of infertility how their body works, maybe you just back the hell off.

  1. I don't know if you have already seen this or not, but I wanted to let you know that Walmart carries the furniture line you are looking for. It goes under the name "Baby Mod" rather than DaVinci but are made by the same manufacturers--just cheaper. I ordered the Baby Mod Parklane series which is the same as the Da Vinci Baby Miro line. I haven't opened them yet because our nursery isn't ready but all of the reviews on Walmart's site are 4 or 5 stars & they say the quality is excellent. Also, Walmart has the free site to store shipping so you order it & just pick it up at the store.

Personally, I wasn't planning on order my nursery furniture from Walmart, but for the same product just with a different name & cheaper price tag, I couldn't resist! Just thought I'd pass it along to you in case you were aware of it yet...

  2. I did NOT know that! Thanks so much! Normally I am really opposed to shopping at Walmart - but I will definitely look into it and see if they have the style we like and what the price difference is! Glad you got such a great deal!
