New Look!

Ok I did it :)

I am ashamed to say that I've spent way too much time today playing around with different ideas, but I decided to go with something quite simple. I like it because it's simple, but incorporates the diaper pins (cloth diapering), and somehow reminds me of the simple newborn layette at BabyGap. Don't ask. haha

Anyway, I changed up the name of this blog to "match" the new baby blog which you can find here. I will be sharing that blog with ALL of our friends and family, but really just kind of wanted it to be a continuation of this one.

Anyway, I'm sorry it's kind of confusing, but basically for now I am going to continue this blog as it is, but start on that one right now letting friends and family from all over the country in on what our nursery looks like, etc. leading up to the announcement of Lucas's arrival over there.

In other news, we received a baby gift today from my husband's "aunt". I say "aunt" because it's his step dad's sister. We really like her, but don't get to see them much and she called to ask us Sunday night what "big ticket item" we still needed. I hate telling people what I want and I knew she had the registry so it felt awkward, but she really wanted me to email her a few ideas. So I did, in pretty much all price ranges (what "big ticket" means to one might be totally different to another!) and we received a package today from Baby Earth. (Check it out if you haven't, their shipping is crazy fast!)

We got the Ergo carrier I had suggested, but ALSO accessories to go with it! The infant insert (I hadn't planned on being able to use the Ergo for a little while, but now with this we can use it right away I think!), a front carrying pack that attaches, and an extender waist strap (I'm hoping that was intended for my husband's use...haha). I am SO excited because this is something that I really, really wanted and feel we'll get a ton of use out of, but at this point in time could not justify spending over $100 on it to buy it ourselves. I still want to get a Moby (I think someone else is buying that for us), but I think between having those two and another sling we already have we'll be totally set in the baby wearing department. :)
