We Told My Parents

My parents came over today to go see a movie and go out to dinner. "Perfect", I thought! We'll have them come in, tell them, and go out to celebrate. I told them we have a late Hanukkah/Christmas present for them. They did the whole "oh, you didn't have to get us anything, etc" and I said that's it's nothing major. ;)

I had the baby booties wrapped up on top and they opened those first. At first they both looked at them with a quick "what the hell kind of present is this?" face and then they got it and started crying!!! Lots of hugging and crying. Then they opened up the picture frame that said inside "Baby C----- Estimated Arrival: August 31, 2009". It was amazing.

I left my phone at home while we were all out, but my acupuncturist called me back and left a message AND emailed me back. He is so sweet and so excited for us.

He told me to call my OB and ask for a progesterone level test so I am now wishing i'd tried calling the new OB this morning, but I thought they wouldn't be open, nor would it have mattered. Now I am really worried that if my progesterone IS low, the time between now and when I can get the test and get supplementation of it will be too long. Hopefully that is not the case and everything will be fine. My temperatures are still very high and actually have been rising, so I think that is a good sign of progesterone being up. Anyone know?

I think I am going to stop temping in the morning though. I don't need stress right now and I think worrying about that will just stress me out and for now I'd rather just be blissfully pregnant until further, official notice which I hope never comes.

Steve (acupuncturist) also said to stop taking the herbs (that's what I thought) and to come see him weekly still for the first trimester to lesson the chance of a miscarriage since they are much higher for those with PCOS. He thinks they I've "done great so far though" and I should be excited and not worry to much. I am so thankful I found him and went that route before anything else.

Oh, and holy crap ... I am pregnant!!!
